How it Works : A variable-speed 12V fan located at the base of the backpack pulls in warm air. The fan is surrounded by three ice bricks that, once frozen, cool the insulated compartment. As the fan propels air through this chilled space, the air cools and exits the top of the backpack. Cold air is directed onto the wearer’s back of the neck and head with immediate cooling effect. The fan has four selectable speeds (High, Medium, Low, and Idle) and is powered by a 20000mAh battery. The battery can run the 173CFM fan on High for 12 hours or at Idle speed for 24 hours; it can run the 250CFM fan on High for 10 hours or at Idle speed for 22 hours. The BLUE backpack features the smaller 173CFM fan, while the BLACK and YELLOW backpacks are equipped with the larger 250CFM fan. CFM stands for Cubic Feet per Minute and measures the air blowing capacity of a fan.
